We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Supply Chain Manager to lead commercial compliance within warehouse and transportation related activities at Tesla. In this role, the SCM will collaborate with qualified vendors to implement warehousing and transportation-related logistics services supporting automotive parts, service parts, and energy sectors. Deep industry knowledge, strong business relationships, and expertise in continuous improvement and contract management specific to warehousing are critical for success.

As a key member of our Supply Chain Organization, you will contribute to the development, implementation, and management of strategies aimed at ensuring Tesla's optimal supply assurance, flexibility, quality, and delivery performance. The Supply Chain Manager will build strong relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders to achieve cost, quality, and delivery targets, emphasizing total cost of ownership to maximize benefits for Tesla and our customers.

  • Review SOP’s , SLA’s , KPI’s and contractual terms against actual performance, identify gaps and corrective actions
  • Lead Warehousing Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives and lead root cause analysis and implementation of recommendations across warehousing and logistics activities
  • Provide strategic guidance and coaching to warehousing management teams
  • Collaborate closely with logistics, transportation, and fulfillment teams internally and vendors externally
  • Collaborate on 3PL and freight forwarder strategies, including RFQs and contract development
  • Analyze spend, consolidate across suppliers, and develop sourcing strategies. Establish key performance metrics for suppliers and manage strategic contracts
  • Co-develop improvement projects within warehousing and transportation with internal stakeholders
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in vendor/carrier management within Supply Chain
  • Previous process improvement training and experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Black belt certification in lean six sigma methodologies
  • Knowledge of purchasing processes across procure to pay etc
  • Detail oriented, problem solving skills and an innate ability to root cause for solutions
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time

Expected Compensation

$72,000 - $264,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
